Double split collars utilize a clamping design similar to that of single split collars but with greater adjustability, simpler installation, and greater holding power. Thanks to its 2-piece design, these clamps can be installed/disassembled virtually anywhere on a shaft with minimal labor and can be fitted to shafts that aren’t standard size. The black oxide finish also helps maintain the frictional effects.
